Great software. My favorite feature: you can change your autocomplete suffix from the boring comma and colon to something cool like a Unicode arrow. Also, it smart autocompletes nicks based on whether a user has actually chatted recently. If you’re in a channel with 2000 lurkers and only three active chatters, you don’t need to cycle through all the 300 nicks that start with “A” to get the right autocomplete.

Textual 5 is a clean, functional app I use every day on El Capitan. Its stable, easy to use, and full featured. I very much appreciate the continued updates and improvements from the software creators.

Ive been using IRC for about 20 years and Textual is by far my favorite client. ZNC integration works great and plenty of scripting options if that floats your boat. Of course it has theme support and support for embedding images/videos if that is what you want (or disable it if you like it old school). Whats best is that the author supports Textual and comes out with regular updates with bug fixes and enhancements.

Textual does everything I need or want in an IRC client. Ive tried some others, and I keep coming back to Textual.
